Sexual Violence Presentation and Discussion Slated for Jan. 30

In light of recent sexual assault allegations reported in much of the media, the Sexual Abuse and Assault Prevention Program of the St. Francis counseling service is slated to host an informative discussion on Tuesday, Jan. 30. “Breaking the Silence on Sexual Violence: Violence in the Media and Your Rights” is a free event set for 6 p.m. at the Bay Avenue Community Center, 775 East Bay Ave., Manahawkin.

The presentation on messages in the media is being delivered by members of the Stafford Township and Stockton University police departments in addition to the Ocean County Sexual Assault Response Team, and it will be followed by an open-panel discussion.
