Take a Beach Break and Enjoy Movies at LBI Library

May 29, 2017
“Les Choristes”

Imagine being able to see movies close to home, without fighting traffic or buying tickets. The Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City will continue its Friday afternoon movie program into the summer, and extends an invitation to the community to stop by, perhaps to get a break from sitting out in the sun.

Throughout June, movies will continue to be shown at 1 p.m. Beginning July 7 and continuing throughout August, flicks will begin at 2.

June’s lineup is “Les Choristes,” June 2; “The Music Never Stopped,” June 9; “Far from Heaven,” June 23; and “Hacksaw Ridge,” June 30. There is no movie on June 16 as the room is being used for a book sale.

Registration for the program begins as soon as the movie is listed in the events calendar. For information, call 609-494-2480 or go online to theoceancountylibrary.org. E.E.
