Thanks for Support

May 30, 2018

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Manahawkin Elks riders, the Beach Haven Moose riders and the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Ocean County, we would like to thank all who donated, supported and shared time with us on May 20 to raise money for our brother, Kevin Adams.

Kevin was diagnosed with a severe form of brain cancer several months ago after losing his wife to the terrible disease two-plus years ago. He has a son and a daughter graduating high school and he is currently unable to work.

On behalf of the sponsor groups, we would like to thank the Manahawkin Elks for the donation of the picnic grove, chef Ed Joswick with the coordination of the food, Jerry Dubeau and George Grabowski for their culinary efforts, and the following for their generous monetary donations: the Beach Haven Moose, Long Beach Island PBA Local #175, Gene Manning, Vera Conlon and the Ocean County Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.

We would also like to thank our entertainment for donating their time, 8 Track Attack and the Ocean County Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.

The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Ocean County is continuing to accept donations for Kevin, which may be made to F.S.O.S. Ocean County, P.O. Box 1017, Manahawkin, N.J. 08050 (please write “Kookout for Kevin” in the memo section).

Kevin C. Lyons, vice president

Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Ocean County
