Thanksgiving Thanks

Nov 29, 2017

To the Editor:

The St. Francis Human Concerns Department would like to take this time to thank the following local partners and businesses in making our 2017 Thanksgiving Project a success. We were able to serve approximately 275 families with Thanksgiving dinners and are grateful for the continuous support.

We would like to acknowledge Murphy’s Market, The Rotary Club of Long Beach Island, Fulfill (Foodbank of Ocean and Monmouth Counties), ShopRite of Manahawkin, Acme of Long Beach Island, Long Beach Township, Dr. Schmoll, Lions Club of Stafford Township, TJ Maxx of Manahawkin, BJ’s of Manahawkin, and Manahawkin Cub/Boy Scout Troop 61 for packing our 275 food baskets for us. We would also like to extend appreciation for the outpouring of support from our community members, who gave both food and monetary donations, along with dropping off turkeys.

Because of your generosity and thoughtfulness, we are able to assist those in need in our community during this Thanksgiving season. Without the help of our community, we would not be able to meet the needs of so many. We are so blessed to be part of a community that shares our commitment to helping others.
