The popular “Truckerton” Food Truck and Beer Fest at the Tuckerton Seaport returns this weekend for the fifth year and this time there’s an added 1950s twist – come dressed in 1950s costume and receive “buy-one, get-one-free admission.”

On Saturday RB Express and Diablo Sandwich take the stage and on Sunday RB Express is followed by Tuckerton’s own Bill Walton Band.

The food is the main event with 16 food trucks and six specialty craft beers. Food offerings range from burritos and empanadas, barbecue, pierogies, fat sandwiches, crepes and pizza plus desserts like cheesecake, cannolis and ice cream sensations. Farm to table specialty recipes were created exclusively for the Seaport.

Ocean County’s troubadour Valerie Vaughn will also perform. The kids will enjoy carnival games and the Justin Wood Circus strolling performers. Older kids might want to try stand-up paddleboard.
Bring a chair or blanket for seating is limited.

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 and the next day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Event admission is $10 for adults, and free for Seaport members and children age 4 and younger. Save $1 on admission by bringing an item to donate to the Tuckerton Food Pantry. —P.J.
