Chainsaw artists recently converged on the Tuckerton Seaport, showing off their creations and the tools they use to make them in the First annual Carve Wars.

Brian ‘Ackmonster’ Ackley from Bridgeton took first place in the Masterpiece competition with his sailor and gull totem.  A flying eagle is by Joe Srholez from Colorado. Other carvers included Dennis Beach, also from Colorado, who won a second for his eagles; Tom Ceriani Jr. of Brockport, Pa.; and event coordinator and third-place winner Joe Wenal, from Colorado who grew up in the Cedar Run section of Stafford Township.
