Hear some hot jazz while the weather’s cold! Ocean County College’s MidWeek Jazz Series continues through the holiday season.

Next month, on Dec. 13, jazz saxophonists Peter and Will Anderson will present “George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess” at 8 p.m. on the main stage at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts. Tickets are $24 for adults, $20 for seniors.

“The New York Times declared identical twins Peter and Will Anderson virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone,” the college stated. “One of the most extraordinary set of brothers performing music today, Peter and Will are known for their unique renditions of classic jazz songs and innovative original music.”

For their Dec. 13 performance, the pair has reconceived George Gershwin’s masterpiece “Porgy and Bess” for sextet, including a vocalist. Songs include “Summertime,” “It Ain’t Necessarily So,” “I Loves You, Porgy” and “My Man’s Gone Now.”

Other upcoming jazz shows at the Grunin Center include New York Voices Jan. 12, the Midiri Brothers Salute Benny Goodman’s Carnegie Hall Concert on Jan. 24, Birdland All-Stars Featuring Tommy Igoe on Feb. 14, Bucky Pizzarelli March 7 and Dennis Lichtman’s Queensboro Five on March 28.
