Viking Village Antique & Collectibles Show a Bright Spot

Aug 02, 2017

On Sunday, Aug. 6, Viking Village in Barnegat Light celebrates 21 years of antique shows by hosting 75 quality antique dealers from at least seven states.

Search for country, Victorian, mid-century modern furniture; architectural and industrial finds; stoneware; jewelry; collectibles; folk art; boardwalk and amusement park items; vintage textiles; nautical; and memorabilia.

Held at 19th Street and Bayview Avenue with a backdrop of a commercial fishing enterprise, the show is held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.

“Highlighting the show will be Matt Whites’ (Recycling The Past) ‘String of Pearls’ lights salvaged and refurbished from our own LBI’s Causeway Bridge. What a great memory of the lights that once crossed Barnegat Bay that can be transformed into creative deck lighting, pathway lighting or interior lighting,” said Pam Larson of the Seawife, presenter of the show.

The second show for 2017 is Sunday, Sept. 17 at Viking Village, which will be the same day as an antique car show at the gazebo on Eighth Street and Bayview Avenue.
