Well-Executed Plan

Jul 05, 2017

To the Editor:

On June 28 at approximately 1:30 p.m. in ShopRite of Manahawkin, I was pushing my cart when I noticed next to me a woman talking to a manager about a lost boy. He immediately got on his phone and over the sound system I heard: “Code Adam, lost boy, all department managers to the exits.”

ShopRite employees were moving and I saw one running into the men’s room and telling another to check the ladies’ room. Then came another announcement giving the boy’s name, age and description with a plea to the boy if he was in the store to make himself known.

This was definitely a pre-arranged and well-executed plan by the management and employees of ShopRite. Everyone should be proud of the job they performed. In a short while the code was called off and I believe the boy was found in the parking lot.
