Wrong Agenda

May 23, 2018

To the Editor:

The May 12 propaganda-fueled commentary on (supposed) “cleaner energy” and the New Jersey clean energy bill A-3723, penned by Michele S. Byers of the New Jersey Conservation Foundation, is nothing but more of the left’s agenda. Signing onto this agenda is none other than our illustrious Goldman Sachs governor: Phil “The Rumson Robber” Murphy.

We have an abundance of clean energy through natural gas and clean coal, both sources of which are 85 percent more efficient and cleaner than only a decade ago. These energy sources are also financially autonomous and do not rely on billions of dollars of taxpayer-funded subsidies to provide what now amounts to less than 2 percent of America’s energy needs.

In transitioning to clean power, we the homeowners will see our energy bills skyrocket, with no incremental benefit whatsoever. Take a minute to read about the radical groups and companies supporting this legislation such as Earthjustice, Sunrun and the Solar Energy Industries Association.

It should also be noted that Ms. Byers applauds Murphy for following the leads of both California and New York. Now isn’t this just what New Jersey needs? Let’s follow the leads of two of the worst fiscally managed states in the history of our republic. But let’s face it, we’re not far behind.

Don’t fall for this, folks. Clean energy is a leftist scam. I applaud our local statehouse representatives, Connors, Rumpf and Gove, in voting no on this nonsense legislation.

Guard your wallet and hold the left accountable at the voting booth.
